GUEST REVIEW The Twelfth (2004) Celebration – not Provocation. Glenwood Publications, First Floor, 316 Shankill Road, Belfast, BT13 3AB. WHAT A belter of an issue this is. Well done. I think this issue has to be the best to date. Full of meaningful, hard hitting, but honest articles that are well worth paying the 50p for. There’s something in it for everyone, not just those in the various Loyal Orders. The front
page article Our Message to Blair; You've had our blood-- NOW GIVE US OUR
RIGHTS! pulls no punches. It is a MUST READ for every Protestant
throughout the land and even those of differing political or religious
persuasion. In my honest opinion however, I know that there are those whose
leanings are towards SF/IRA and the Catholic Church, who will NEVER see our side
of things, no matter how hard we try to educate them. They just want to turn the
clock back to the way things were for them before the Reformation. :-( Ronnie, Glasgow. MORE REVIEWS OF THE TWELFTH 2004I THOUGHT this was a very interesting paper and well worth the money. It explains the Williamite war and how the 12th July celebrations came about. To read Louise Jenkinson’s review, click here. To read Archie McCulloch's review, click here.
